Day 4 Irvine to Newton Stewart

66 miles today. Cycle route disappearing into housing estates at various points plus numerous gates and railway crossings etc made for a slightly complicated day on the bike. Met some very helpful people on the way including a gentleman golfer who insisted that it was perfectly alright to cycle thru' the Royal Troon golf course - (it was only ladies practice day after all!). Tonight I am the sole resident at the youth hostel.
